Uniforms cost a lot. Just a fresh set of NWU's will with both Warfare pins everything sewn on will run you over $180.   If you are a little seaman that is a lot of cash!  Here are a few tips to save some $$$ and still stay looking Fresh.
Buy USEDYou can save big $$$ buying used I got a Eisenhower Jacket with the tag still on it for $3.50 that is an $80 jacket.   So don't be ashamed go to the local Goodwill or Salvation Army or even some bases have thrift shops and save some big cheese.
Sew Your Own Stuff
It's a pain in the butt to sew on your stuff but at $3.50 doing it by yourself could save you as much as $20+ so get you're little Ricky sewing kit and get at it.

Take Care of Your Stuff
Simple thing like turning NWU inside out to wash and  washing your uniforms in cold water can extend it's life Months.  Shining your boots will keep them from scratching or tearing and keep unwanted water from leaking in.
